U.S. Stops Iran From Seizing an American Naval Drone

The U.S. Navy stopped an Iranian ship from seizing an American maritime drone within the Persian Gulf on Tuesday, in a contemporary confrontation that underscored the sharp tensions between Tehran and Washington, U.S. protection officers mentioned.

The episode started Monday evening when the U.S. Navy noticed an Iranian ship towing the Saildrone Explorer, an unmanned U.S. vessel outfitted with digital camera, radars and sensors.
