Jay Leno has undergone surgical procedure for ‘important’ burns, doctor says

Jay Leno has undergone one surgical procedure for his burn accidents and can bear a second process later this week, in response to his doctor.

Leno, an avid automobile collector, had been working beneath a automobile on Saturday when he was burned by a gasoline fireplace, Dr. Peter Grossman, who’s treating the previous “Tonight Show Host,” stated throughout a press convention Wednesday.

“When got pulled out from the area underneath the car, it was noted that he had pretty significant burns to face and hands,” he stated.

“His burns include his face, his hands, and his chest, the burns are fairly significant,” Grossman famous.

Leno was first taken to an area hospital after which was transferred to the Grossman Burn Heart in Los Angeles after the incident.

Leno’s spouse has been by his facet and “obviously very concerned,” the physician stated. His accidents are a combination of second-degree and presumably some third-degree burns, in response to Grossman.

“Some of the burns to the face are a little deeper and a little more concerning. Right now they’re in that progression of somewhere between deep second and third-degree burns to the face. We’re hoping we can keep them from progressing by using these alternate treatments, including good wound care and hyperbaric oxygen and aggressive surgical management,” he defined.

“He’s Jay leno, he’s walking around, he’s cracking jokes,” he stated, noting the comic is “incredibly kind” to the hospital employees.

“His injuries are serious, his condition is good,” he stated. “I do anticipate him making a full recovery.”
